Golang Job Details

The Select is currently hiring for a Golang Developer to join as a new resource for one of our clients in the Telecommunications sector that will be 100% but MUST be able/willing to work EST hours due to this client sitting in the Philadelphia, PA area. This Developer will primarily be using the Go programming language around the main goal and responsibilities being focused on gathering data from modems (how is it performing , what is up and downstream, what are interfaces, how are they connected) and gather data from outside devices - nodes & cable devices. This client is expanding on these devices used by clients and they must work to expand on and scale the code to optimize the usage with no interruptions for users. GOLANG DEVELOPER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Open to either a Junior (1-2 years) or Senior developer 3-5+ years) experience with Go programming language
  • Must be able to understand different aspects of Golang. For example how do you use channels, parallel processing and why
  • Experienced or possesses the ability to scale and optimize code that is existing – will be working with Terabytes of data therefore large scale experience is needed
  • Cloud application development experience within AWS, Kubernetes is a plus skillset
  • Driven, wants to be challenged (working with cutting edge technologies within a fortune 50 company)
  • Education/Certification Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related IT field – preferred not required

GOLANG DEVELOPER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Gathers telemetry from network devices and sends out to other development/analyst teams
  • This project works with data science teams and now this team fully drives the effort (consolidated teams)
  • New requirements come in- replace APIs, add functionality, etc.
  • Workload is currently run in Golang therefore managing and developing any Go programming language needs

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
